Perfect for parties
Nikki Beach
There is no question about it, Nikki Beach is the most famous beach club in Marbella, which has been going strong for over 20 years. This celebrity hotspot located close to the Don Carlos Hotel, in Elviria (Marbella East), is a mix of Miami meets Marbella, an exciting venue where you can drink, dance, eat and party with a sophisticated international crowd to tunes from the best DJs. Needless to say, with neighbours like Nikki Beach, beachside properties for sale in Elviria are highly sought-after and are in short supply.
Puerto Banús was designed to rival the glamour of St. Tropez, so it is no surprise that the beachfront Ocean Club is the epitome of extravagance and glitz. If you like champagne parties and want to be seen in the right place, amongst stylish people, this is the place for you. An enormous saltwater pool, huge day-beds and deck area are perfect partying, earning the venue a reputation for being one of the chicest beach clubs in Europe.
If you want to own property within easy reach of the Ocean Club, you will be competing for a limited stock of highly prized Puerto Banús real estate. However, a little further above Puerto Banús, you can find a good selection of villas for sale in Nueva Andalucía, a popular, upmarket residential area.
Imagine the sounds from international DJs, champagne, cocktails and an imaginative menu featuring delicious Thai signature dishes…this is La Sala by the Sea, a Puerto Banús beach club, restaurant and bar. Famed for its pool parties, the sun, sea and fine golden sand provide the perfect backdrop to the relaxed Marbella vibe around the pool and beachside beds. Entertainment by musicians, dancers and DJs really bring the place to life.
Exclusive and iconic
Also located in Marbella East is the latest celebrity collaboration to hit the Costa del Sol. In 2023, Italian fashion design gods, Dolce & Gabbana, joined forcing with Grupo Dani García and Grupo Mosh to give this iconic beach club a new lease of life. For those not yet familiar with Daní Garcia, this Málaga born chef has 3 Michelin stars and is the patron of a number of innovative and award-winning restaurants on the Costa del Sol. La Cabane is the perfect place for sophisticated Mediterranean menus accompanied by live music at the weekends.
MC Beach Club is one of the most exclusive clubs on the entire Coast and is part of the world-famous Marbella Club Hotel. Marbella’s reputation as a glamorous luxury lifestyle location started with the launch of this iconic hotel, so it is only fitting that the MC Beach Club would deliver the most incredible views and a feeling of traditional grandeur. A stunning pool, beach beds, bar and the Marbella Club Hotel chiringuito provide everything you could need for a relaxing drink, lunch or light snack whilst listening to light music as the sun goes down.
Part of the Puente Romano Beach Resort and Spa Hotel, this luxury beach club enjoys a superb beachfront location on Marbella’s Golden Mile. In 2023, Italian Fashion house Fendi celebrated the summer by turning the El Chiringuito into the first Fendi Beach Club. Today (2024), the décor is no longer Fendi but is it equally stylish, back to its laid-back yet elegant beachy decor.
A favourite venue for beachside dining, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, the varied menu is designed to cater for every taste, from typically Spanish dishes like paella to perfectly prepared pasta. Guests of the NOBU hotel with the resort, can also choose to have breakfast on the best at this charming beach club.
Family fun
The Point Marbella located in Marbella East, is one of the best choices for all the family. In addition to the pool, there is the ‘Nautic Zone’ offering water sports, jet-ski rides and other activities. This beachside club has a superb restaurant perfect for a lazy brunch, lunch or dinner. The menu is family friendly, offering everything from paella, sushi to Argentinean grilled meats and teenager friendly big burgers.
Over to the western side of Marbella province on the promenade in San Pedro de Alcantara, this relaxed beachfront haven offers a quietly luxurious family experience. You can take advantage of the large child friendly pool (with lifeguards) as you recline of indulgently plush beds, while you can relax and enjoy the exquisite service. The restaurant’s décor is light and bright in the two indoor rooms and there is terrace with stunning sea views. The menu is equally appealing, featuring seafood, fish and a range of delicious high-quality modern Mediterranean dishes.
There are a number of Trocadero Beach Clubs on the Costa del Sol, two of which are located on Marbella’s beautiful beaches. On Marbella’s Golden Mile, just a few minutes from some of the most luxurious villas in Marbella and adjacent to the Trocadero Playa beach club, you’ll find the Trocadero Petit Playa. This is the perfect place for parents and children to relax and enjoy some laid-back family friendly fun. Children can enjoy the creative activities offered in the dedicated supervised children’s areas, whilst the adults relax over a long-drink amongst the colourful, light, bright colonial style décor and admire the sea views. You can indulge in a cocktail, try the sushi bar or book a bed on the beach to watch the world go by.
If you are looking for a beach club in Puerto Banús to suit the entire family, look no further than Mistral Beach. Its beach front location and shallow water make it great for kids to splash around, there are also plenty of beach services on offer from massages, water sports and drinks service direct to the comfy beach beds. The restaurant has a varied menu with all of the favourites, from salad to seafood and pasta topaella.
Recently opened and updated
Located in Guadalmina Baja an upmarket residential enclave known for golf properties and luxury villa, on the western edge of Marbella, this is the first Barbillón Group beach club outside of Madrid. Although its doors only opened in summer 2023, it has already become a firm favourite. There are three distinct areas within the club, a bar-restaurant that can accommodate up to 350 people, luxury beds on the beach and the pool area where you can while away the day with a long drink on a sun lounger.
This established beach club is ideally located in El Rosario (Marbella East) an area purported to have the best white sandy beaches in Marbella. Recently refurbished (2023), this laid-back beach club has the perfect mix of a rustic traditional chiringuito with a slightly South American laid-back vibe. The large sumptuous beds are big enough for six people to comfortably lounge around drinking in the sea views and cocktails. The restaurant has a modern menu combining Mediterranean with Asian influences. Delicious!
Of course, this is just a small selection of our favourite Marbella beach club venues. There are many more both in Marbella and along the wider Costa del Sol. There is Opium Beach Club famed for its day beds and pools, Ámmo in San Pedro de Alcantara., and Sonora Beach located just a few kilometres towards Estepona.
